Coaching

Jenni worked with me on overcoming some of my blockages to public speaking and storytelling. She gave me excellent tips and some real “ah hah” moments. I felt very safe and respected by her in our sessions. Jenni also coached my retelling of a remarkable ancient Tibetan story from 12 centuries ago, as a part of an online program for empowering personal and planetary transformation. Jenni makes it feels like an exciting and magical adventure to reweave a story so close to my heart, in words and patterns that are my very own. Telling the Shambhala Warriors on stage was a highlight of this year for me, and I felt the power of the story flow through me.

This ancient tree sheltering a sapling, is a metaphor for the process of developing a skill. At first you may feel you are that spindly sapling, blown over by any wind. Finding a mentor you trust and feel nurtured and encouraged by, can help you develop your skill and flourish. Having great mentors has been extremely important in my career as a storyteller.

Whether you choose to work with me, or are drawn to a different mentor, I wish you all the very best on your journey to find your unique voice as a storyteller or as a public speaker.

Jenni was very helpful in helping me sort, order and refine my story from an amorphous mass of ideas into a sequence that captured the essence of what I wanted to say in a form that an audience could connect well with. To the coaching, she brought passion, intelligence, keen interest and deep respect for my authentic voice in what I was communicating. I thoroughly enjoyed working with her.

Thank you so much for your time in honing my skills as a storyteller and hints at making storytelling at rest time much more fun for the 4-5-year olds I work with. Thank you for sharing your vast and entertaining knowledge of storytelling. I look forward to increasing my skills in storytelling through practice with eager participants, namely the children at the centre in which I work, and sharing the joy with the other staff at work.

Jenni was very supportive when I was preparing to tell at ‘Stories in the Club’. She was able to tap into the story’s hidden treasures and was reassuring when I needed a nudge to keep me on track. I bumped into Jenni on a couple of occasions while working on my story and she was available, always very present and with a great array of effective yet simple suggestions. I look forward to sitting on one of Jenni’s storytelling workshops.

Jenni’s work is engaging and supportive, her ability to encourage me in my storytelling is heartfelt and relaxed. I  would definitely recommend others wishing to journey into the world of storytelling to have Jenni as a mentor.
