Join us, for an evening of soul food for adults as six, experienced tellers share short, polished tales on the theme ‘Together We Can’.

Each year, World Storytelling Day is celebrated by tellers all over the world. I am excited to announce that my storytelling friend and colleague, Anne E Stewart, and I are hosting a ‘World Storytelling Day’ concert in Brisbane for March 20! We are delighted to have the support and participation of Uncle Alan Parsons, who also joined us at the 2022 Australian Fairytale Conference. We will also be joined on stage by a circle of very experienced and accomplished tellers: Alexandra McCallum, Bettina Nissen and Sue Robin.

As I only moved to Brisbane on February 1, we didn’t get a chance to meet until the other day, the lead time is a bit short. Luckily we found an atmospheric, central free venue, but we only have it briefly, so it’ll be short and sharp. This will be my second performance in my hometown since moving back. Huzzah!
